Mohamed Elbially Elmahdy earned his a bachelor’s degree in Biomedical Engineering at Cairo University, Egypt in June 2013. He worked as a Teaching and Research Assistance at Cairo University for four years teaching  machine learning, medical imaging, biostatistics, and  Entrepreneurship for undergraduate students.  He earned his master thesis entitled "Subvocal Speech Recognition Using Deep Learning" from the same university in May 2017. Since August 2017, he joined the the Division of Image Processing (LKEB) as a PhD student, working on developing fast and accurate medical contour propagation for proton therapy using deep learning.
