Myriam studied technical medicine at the university of Twente (2010-2017) specialized in medical imaging and interventions. In October 2017 she started her PhD research at the Leiden University Medical Center at the C.J. Gorter Center for high field MRI and Ophthalmology department on the imaging of tumours in the eye (uveal melanoma) using MRI. A challenge as an MRI exam takes up to 45 minutes and one can hold their eye still for about 3 seconds.
