Non-invasive assessment of coronary artery disease in patients with chest pain

Aim of the study

The main purpose of the present study is to evaluate the relative merits of MPI and MSCT for the assessment of coronary artery disease and subsequent assessment of prognosis in 100 patients presenting with chest pain to the outpatient Cardiology clinics. In addition, the value of serum markers (in addition to imaging) for prognostification will be determined.
In a substudy, the value of MSCT to determine right ventricular function will be assessed in 20 patients and compared with MRI, which is considered the gold standard for assessment of right ventricular function.
