Professional biosketch

After writing her thesis on “Cytokines and T lymphocytes in transplantation” at the department of Immunology at the Erasmus University in Rotterdam, Dr. A.C.T.M. Vossen was trained to become medical microbiologist at the same university. She worked as a clinical virologist at the department of Virology of the Erasmus Medical Center for seven years. In 2006 she became staff-member of the department of Medical Microbiology of the LUMC. Her clinical work covers the clinical virology. She is involved in research concerning herpesvirus infections in the immunecompromised host and congenital CMV infection.

Dr. Vossen is a member of the board of the Dutch Society of Medical Microbiology (NVMM) of the Dutch Foundation for Quality Assessment in Clinical Laboratories (SKML).
