The Department of Pathology contributes to medical education by teaching medical students, biomedical sciences students, and biopharmaceutical sciences students. A characteristic of pathology courses is the use of integrated teaching methods. This concerns both the learning of the subject matter—combining computer-assisted practicals with regular workgroups and lectures—as well as the collaboration with other medical disciplines. In addition, practical training opportunities for medical, biomedical sciences, biopharmaceutical sciences, medical biology, life sciences, upper secondary vocational (MBO), and university professional (HBO) students are present. See under Research for a detailed description of the different topics, the applied technologies, and contact persons.
