Prof Hans Morreau is staff member and attending pathologist at the department of Pathology of the Leiden University Medical Center since 1997.
Clinical focus: Endocrine pathology is a focus of his clinical tasks including the molecular diagnostic aspects of endocrine disease. He is responsible for the molecular diagnostic unit within the pathology. Recently a network of pathology departments have been created to tackle future obligations and challenges in this rapidly expanding field of molecular diagnostics. Furthermore there is a clinical focus on all forms of familial cancer and related abnormalities, that are documented in www.hereditarypathology.org. Diagnostic endocrine challenges are currently being documented in www.endocrinepathology.nl.
Research: a research focus is the familial basis of endocrine disease and the refinement of diagnosis using molecular insights.
