The Leiden 85-plus Study is a longitudinal population-based cohort study consisting of individuals who turned 85 years old in the period of 1997-1999. In total, 599 elderly (80% of the eligible patients) were included who participated in extensive yearly measurements (physical, functional, psychiatric, and social) during follow-up.
The Leiden 85-plus Study aims to map (modifiable) determinants of successful ageing.
The Leiden 85-plus Study is carried out in collaboration with the department of Public Health and Primary Care of the LUMC.
