Dr. Martin Giera

Head Metabolomics group

Area(s) of interest

  • Metabolomics

Martin Giera is the head of the Metabolomics group at CPM. He studied pharmacy in Heidelberg and Munich and after an internship at Boehringer-Ingelheim joined the group of Prof. Franz Bracher at the Ludwig-Maximilians-University, Munich. After receiving his PhD in pharmaceutical chemistry in late 2007 he joined the group of Prof. Hubertus Irth at the VU University Amsterdam. There he became an Ass. Prof. in 2009 responsible for the Bioanalysis group. He joined the LUMC in 2011 where he was heading the Lipid Analysis and Biology group before becoming the head of the Metabolomics group.
