Professor Katja Zeppenfeld receives honorary doctorate

Professor Katja Zeppenfeld has been awarded an honorary doctorate by Aarhus University in Denmark. Zeppenfeld is also professor of clinical electrophysiology and head of the electrophysiology research and treatment centre at Leiden University Medical Centre (LUMC).

She is one of the top researchers in cardiology and is generally considered one of the best researchers in the field of clinical electrophysiology worldwide. With her research, she has contributed among  to the development of new ablation methods. This is an invasive procedure for the treatment of arrhythmias, especially in patients with ventricular dysrhythmia and patients with congenital heart disease.

Zeppenfeld is a professor at the Department of Cardiology at Aarhus University Hospital in Denmark. There she is jointly responsible for scientific research and the treatment of patients with complex ventricular dysrhythmia. Want to know what else Zeppenfeld is working on? Watch the video below.
