Molecular tumour pathology and tumour genetics (Pathology 2)

By unraveling the molecular pathways involved in tumorigenesis we aim to identify diagnostic markers and new therapeutic targets, such as protein kinases. The characterization of tumor tissues at genomic, transcriptomic and proteomic levels, combined -with analyses of various in vitro and in vivo model systems, are central themes. Ultimately, these molecular insights are expected to improve cancer diagnosis and to help develop personalized therapies for cancer patients.
