In this course you will familiarize yourself with a multidisciplinary approach to diagnose tumours of bones and joints. A systematic approach to the groups of frequently occurring bone tumours, which can also be encountered outside specialized centers, is advocated in lectures alternated with practical training in the form of computerized radiology and microscopy training, and discussions of relevant molecular diagnostics.

The three usp’s of this course are:

  • Multidisciplinary approach to diagnose tumours
  • Lectures and practical training
  • Discussions in multidisciplinary setting

Educational objectives

  • To practice with and experience the benefit of a multidisciplinary approach to bone lesions
  • To increase knowledge of the diagnostic criteria, including imaging features, of a variety of primary bone tumours according to the new 2026 WHO classification
  • To understand the genetic background and the role of molecular diagnostics in the diagnosis of bone tumours
