Services
At the FCF at LUMC, we offer internal and external clients a comprehensive range of services to support cutting-edge research and diagnostics.
Do you need high-parameter flow cytometry, spectral cytometry, mass cytometry, or advanced cell sorting? Our team is ready to assist. We also help ensure optimal experiemental outcomes via expert training, project consultation, and support for panel design and data analysis. We’re happy to discuss what fits your needs.
Equipment
The FCF houses all of the LUMC’s research and diagnostic flow cytometry and mass cytometry instruments and is one of the largest flow cytometry facilities in the world, currently containing over 24 instruments. We have conventional flow cytometers, high-speed spectral flow cytometers, cell sorters and mass cytometers.
Pricing
We operate under a hybrid funding model, with institutional support and user fees covering operational costs. Our charges are designed to ensure fair access to state-of-the-art flow and mass cytometry services while maintaining sustainability.
Quality assurance
To ensure the FCF delivers high-quality services, guidance, and technical support while maintaining instruments in optimal condition, the FCF operators undertake a broad range of responsibilities. These tasks span technical, managerial, and logistical tasks, as well as education, training, and user support.
About us
The FCF provides flow cytometry, mass cytometry and cell sorting to a wide range of users as well as education and service, thereby supporting its users’ research and clinical needs to generate high-quality data. The team of operators is comprised of highly educated professionals with diverse backgrounds. The FCF operators continuously maintain, monitor, and (when necessary) replace and/or update the FCF instruments. The FCF currently provides courses to users, as well as education to BSc and MSc students. In addition, FCF provides support with:
