Genes, proteins, small molecules and metabolites: they continuously influence one another. This still fascinates Professor of Translational Metabolomics and Lipidomics Martin Giera every day. Together with his team, he works to deepen our understanding of metabolism. Ultimately, he hopes to use this knowledge to steer diseased systems towards a healthier state.
