Mass spectrometry proteomics, metabolomics and glycomics

Center for Proteomics and Metabolomics

The Center for Proteomics and Metabolomics (CPM) develops and implements cutting-edge proteomics and metabolomics technology to analyze disease-associated molecular mechanisms and fingerprints within all research focus areas of the LUMC, to promote innovation within biomedical research and public health.
We specialize in mass spectrometry, miniaturized sample preparation and separation systems, and nuclear magnetic resonance (NMR) to analyze and quantify metabolites, lipids and proteins.

About us

At the Center for Proteomics and Metabolomics (CPM), we develop and apply state-of-the-art technologies to explore the molecular mechanisms behind disease.

We are in the middle of a molecular revolution in life sciences. New tools now allow us to study the proteome, metabolome, lipidome, and glycome of complex organisms with high precision. These technologies, combined with powerful computational methods, help us make sense of complex biological data.

These technologies, combined with powerful computational methods, help us make sense of complex biological data.

We now better understand how molecular systems interact with environmental, genetic, and epigenetic factors to shape life processes. Our mission at CPM is to accelerate this molecular revolution and help translate scientific discoveries into public health benefits.
