Dr. M. (Mohamed) El Farissi

I completed my cardiology training and fellowship in interventional cardiology at Catharina Hospital Eindhoven. Since 2026, I have been working as an interventional cardiologist at LUMC. Together with my patients, I strive to provide personalized care, with a strong focus on communication and quality.

My scientific interest focuses on optimizing existing and novel treatments for patients with acute myocardial infarction, with particular attention to the function of the microvasculature in damaged cardiac tissue.

Thesis: 'Selective intracoronary hypothermia in acute myocardial infarction'.
