Find your way to the department
You will receive a (digital) ticket in mijnLUMC or at the registration kiosk. Your (digital) ticket lists your appointments for the day. Each appointment includes the route number you should follow in the LUMC. If you follow this route number, you will arrive at your department. Our volunteers at the main entrance are happy to help you find your way.
You can find the route numbers on the directional signs at the main entrance or on the department’s webpage. Please refer to the overview of the LUMC’s outpatient clinics, nursing wards, and specialty centers. Our volunteers at the main entrance are happy to help you find your way.
Do you have an appointment at the Central Blood Collection, Radiology, Outpatient Pharmacy, Ophthalmology, Ear, Nose, and Throat, or the Willem-Alexander Children’s Hospital? If so, please scan the QR code on your (digital) ticket at the check-in kiosk in the department.
Please note: The outpatient building Surgery, Orthopedics, and Cast Room (NL) is located in the outpatient building next to the parking garage. That is Building 14, Route 1000. You do not need to check in at the main building first. You can use the check-in kiosks in the outpatient clinic building.
Route main building
You can use the map of the LUMC main building: Route from A to B (NL). Prepare for your visit by reading more about the route to get to the LUMC and parking options.
Arrive well in advance
Please make sure to arrive at the LUMC at least 15 minutes before your appointment. Are you coming by car? If so, please arrive at least 30 minutes early, as our parking garage can get busy. This will give you enough time to park, check in and/or register, and walk to the department where your appointment is taking place.

Service dogs
Service dogs are welcome at the LUMC. Your dog must be a certified service dog. In addition, the service dog must be identifiable by a vest bearing an officially recognized logo from the Stichting Hulphond or KNGF Geleidehonden. Due to hygiene concerns and the risk of infection, pets are not allowed at the LUMC.
Are you a patient and would you like to bring your service dog to your appointment? Please contact your treating physician before your appointment. This is because there may be a patient with a compromised immune system on the ward.
