Viral Vector Facility

The Viral Vector Facility produces batches of lentivirus and adenovirus for preclinical research within the LUMC. It also assists researchers in producing their own virus. The facility provides researchers access to state-of-the-art viral-vector technology, allowing them to generate sufficient data to apply for external grants.

Services

The Viral Vector Facility obtained shRNA and CRISPR libraries for studying gene knockdown and gene knock-out respectively. Clones from these libraries can be requested for free for research within the LUMC. These shRNA and CRISPR constructs can be used to produce lentiviruses.

Equipment

The Viral Vector Facility owns shRNA, CRISPR (gRNA) and ORF (cDNA) libraries from Sigma Aldrich.
