Grants

LUMC Fellowship and Gisela Thier Fellowship

LUMC provides two fellowships yearly for talented scientists. The LUMC Fellowship is open to both internal and external candidates (more than five years post-PhD) and offers 800,000 euros in total. The Gisela Thier Fellowship focuses on recently graduated researchers (up to five years post-PhD), with a budget of up to 400,000 euros. Most laureates have established their independent research groups at LUMC, so these fellowships are an excellent stepping stone for your academic career.

Leiden University Medical Center provides talented scientists with the opportunity to receive a LUMC Fellowship. The purpose of this Fellowship is to enable scientists (more than 5 years post-PhD) to become one of the trendsetters of LUMC’s research portfolio. An excellent stepping stone for your academic career. The LUMC Fellowship offers the opportunity to initiate a long-term line of research in your field if your research coincides with one of LUMC’s research themes. For this Fellowship, you can be nominated by a LUMC department head, and you will be appointed to a department at LUMC.
