Modulation of autoimmunity

With our team ‘Modulation of autoimmunity’, we study the factors that initiate and maintain chronicity in rheumatoid arthritis (RA). We consider these factors essential to develop novel ways for therapeutic immune modulation in order to achieve restoration of stable, long-lasting immunological remission, either at the pre-disease stage (prevention) or in the early/established phases of disease (sustained remission/cure). To do so, we focus our interest on autoreactive B cells and their biology.
