Mucosal and systems immunology

Our research focuses on the immunology of infections and vaccinations. We use novel minimally-invasive nasal mucosal and lymph node sampling methods to understand how the immune system responds to an infection or vaccination in the relevant tissues. These clinical samples are then analysed using state-of-the-art laboratory and computational approaches. We are particularly interested in how the immune response changes in vulnerable populations, such as young children and older adults.
