Introduction
Teresa Gonçalves Ferreira is a neuro and head and neck radiologist working in LUMC since 2006.
She attended medical school in the Medical University of Lisbon, Portugal. She finished the neuroradiology residency in Hospital Garcia de Orta, Almada, Portugal, which included a neuroradiology rotation in UCLA, Los Angeles, USA. Later she also finished the radiology residency in LUMC, Leiden, The Netherlands.
Since 2015 until now, and in close cooperation with the Ophthalmology department of LUMC, she does research in the field of MRI of the orbit and eye. On 2023 she defended her PhD in this area. She integrates the LOTC (Leiden Oncology Tumor Center).
She is an author of multiple scientific publications, and regularly gives lectures in several international radiology and ophthalmology congresses and courses.

Teresa Gonçalves Ferreira integrates since 2015 the orbit and eye research team of LUMC, consisting of multiple specialties such as radiologists, a physicist, radiology technicians, ophthalmologists, pathologists, radiation oncologists, oncologists and PhD students from different disciplines.
Their main focus is MRI of uveal melanoma and other ocular tumors, MRI of eyelid tumors and orbital inflammation.
She is an author of multiple scientific publications and on 2023 she defended her PhD in this field.
