Light Microscopy Facility
First time users
To utilize our facility you need to contact us through our email address: lightmicroscopy@lumc.nl
We will send you a form in which you state your general microscope experience level, what you want to image and which instrument or technique you want to apply.
From there we can schedule a meeting or training session. For the training you provide your own sample, as close to what you want to image for real.
After the training you are allowed to book your own imaging sessions.

Intake procedure
The intake procedure for internal and external customers is as follows:
- Send an email to lightmicroscopy@lumc.nl with your request and a short description of your project.
- Complete the intake form you receive, including your experience level and sample details.
- (Optional) Schedule a consultation to discuss your experiment and select the appropriate technique.
- Book a training session and bring a representative sample.
- After training, book microscope time via the booking system and perform your imaging.
- (Optional) Use our on-site or remote workstations for image analysis.
