About our team

The facility team combines expertise in virology, bacteriology, and BSL‑3/DM‑III operations, with decades of experience in handling high-risk pathogens. Members are trained through rigorous, ongoing programs to maintain cutting-edge skills and strict biosafety standards. The team includes specialists in assay development, animal models, and laboratory management. Close collaboration with LUMC Biosafety Officers ensures continuous oversight, compliance with regulations, and implementation of best practices.
