The Research Data Day is an annual event for everyone who works with research data or offers support in research, within and outside the LUMC.

The theme of the Research Data Day 2026 is "Support. Share. Collaborate."

During this day, researchers, data professionals and support staff will come together to exchange knowledge and experiences about research data and Open Science. You will discover best practices for collecting, managing, sharing and reusing data for scientific research.

The program consists of an information market where you can discover tools, services and support options. You will also get to know the  experts within the LUMC, who support researchers in various aspects of scientific research

In the afternoon, you can participate in  interactive sessions on current data challenges and practical solutions.

Who is this day for?

This event is intended for anyone who wants to learn more about the use of healthcare data in scientific research and wants to discover what expertise is available within the LUMC to support research, from preclinical and translational to clinical research.

Whether you are an early-career researcher, an experienced scientist, a data professional, or provide support in one or more phases of scientific research, this day is for you!

We welcome participants from inside and outside the LUMC, including colleagues from healthcare institutions, research institutes and other (regional) partner organizations who are interested in working with healthcare and research data.
