Bioinformatics expertise center

The Bioinformatics Center of Expertise offers bioinformatics advice to all LUMC reseachers who work in genomics, transcriptomics, proteomics, and other fields that rely heavily on bioinformatics tools. This advice is a form of interdisciplinary scientific cooperation. A list of consultants can be found here.

Bioinformatics is a rapidly developing field at the intersection of statistics, computer science, biology and medicine. It focuses on methods for analyzing, connecting and visualizing the large data sets arising from modern high-throughput molecular biology and modern imaging techniques.

The Bioinformatics Center of Expertise unites all bioinformaticians at LUMC. It makes knowledge and advice in the field of bioinformatics available to all LUMC researchers. In addition, the Center promotes cooperation and knowledge transfer between bioinformaticians, for example by organizing seminars. The Center of Expertise also provides courses for researchers and students.
