Education

As part of the LUMC Directorate of Education & Training (DOO), LUMC Global Education connects LUMC's international partnerships with its educational mission. Working closely with all bachelor's and master's programmes and a global network of partner universities, the team creates meaningful international learning opportunities that prepare students for healthcare and research in an increasingly interconnected world.

International education is more than studying abroad. Through semester exchanges, (half) minors, research placements, internships, clinical electives, summer schools, and other collaborative educational initiatives, LUMC Global Education enables both outgoing LUMC students and incoming international students to broaden their academic, professional, and intercultural perspectives while strengthening international collaboration across disciplines.

In addition, LUMC Global Education advises academic programmes on developing sustainable educational partnerships and embedding internationalisation within the curriculum, helping ensure that global learning becomes an integral part of education at LUMC.

By fostering international experience, intercultural competence, and global collaboration, LUMC Global Education contributes to educating the next generation of healthcare professionals and researchers who are equipped to address complex health challenges in diverse international contexts.

    LUMC Global Education provides reliable and accessible information on international educational opportunities, mobility procedures, scholarships, and funding. Through digital platforms, information sessions, and personalised guidance, the team helps students, staff, and academic programmes navigate every stage of international education.
