Introduction
I am a clinical geneticist specializing in hereditary cancer/oncogenetics and have specific expertise in hereditary forms of cutaneous melanoma and pancreatic cancer. After completing my medical studies in Leiden, I trained as a clinical geneticist at the Leiden University Medical Center (LUMC) (2012-2019) and conducted my PhD research on hereditary cutaneous melanoma and hereditary pancreatic cancer. Since completing my training in 2019, I have been affiliated with the LUMC's Department of Clinical Genetics as a clinical geneticist. In addition to my (outpatient) clinical work (hereditary cancer consultations), I remain involved in scientific research into hereditary melanoma and pancreatic cancer and contribute my expertise to the development of (national) guidelines and protocols in this area.
