Introduction
Charlotte Gaasterland studied Psychology and Psychobiology, with a focus on statistics and methodology. She is a senior researcher with as main topic the development of Clinical Practice Guidelines for Endo-ERN, and expanding the guideline methodology for rare diseases in general.
She is co-chairing the GRADE project group on rare diseases, and supervises PhD-candidates who are evaluating and developing methodology for rare disease guidelines. She also manages several European guideline projects as a methodologist.
Charlotte also works as a methodologist for the Cie-Wees, evaluating new drugs for rare diseases and their usefulness to the Dutch healthcare system.
