Themes for Innovation
At the Leiden University Medical Center (LUMC), researchers from different fields of expertise work together around 10 themes for innovation. These themes are based on society’s demands, as well as our unique set of research strengths and ambitions.
Healthcare innovation is vital to tackle the challenges that society will face in the next few decades. We believe that combining cross-border expertise from inside and outside the LUMC will help us achieve greater innovation and solutions to biomedical problems. Together, we work on identifying the causes of disease, improved diagnosis and prevention to develop more effective treatments.
