Area(s) of expertise:
Clinical Dermatology, Experimental Dermatology, Cancer-associated fibrobblast in skin cancers, Vitro 3D-Skin model, Ubiquitination of Psoriatic Keratinocytes
Introduction
I studied my Bachelor in Medicine at Hubei University of Medicine (China) from 2012-2017 and participated in an exchange program to Sydney University (Australia) in 2015. From 2017 to 2020 I studied my Master in Tongji Medical school, Huazhong University of Science and Technology (China), specialized in Dermatology and researched on the mechanism of psoriasis pathogenesis and identification of novel therapeutics for psoriasis with a special focus on psoriatic keratinocytes. In 2018, I acquired my physician practicing and qualification license. Since 2021, I have joined in the PhD program at the department of Dermatology, LUMC to study the conversion and reprogramming of cancer-associated fibroblasts in skin cancers using in vitro 3D-skin equivalents. My personal interests fall into music, art and nature.
Scientific research
We are studying cancer-associated fibroblasts (CAFs) and its precursor using 3D organotypic cultures to unravel the underlying mechanism of CAF-tumor cell interplay and CAF differentiation process. Meanwhile, we are exploring potential CAF-targeting strategies to strengthen current tumor therapies in skin cancers.
