Training to become a Medical Specialist
This training, which can be followed after passing the medical licensing exam, leads to registration as a medical microbiologist and lasts 5 years. The program covers all aspects of the field, including bacteriology, virology, parasitology, and mycology, both at the level of laboratory diagnostics and the clinical issues of infections and their treatment. Attention is also given to hospital hygiene and public health, and there is room for independent scientific research.
