Internships
The LUCID department offers students of Biomedical Sciences, Medicine, or related fields, as well as Higher Laboratory Education (HLO) students, opportunities for internships and research projects within both MMIP and fundamental virological, parasitological, and bacteriological research.
Fundamental virological and bacteriological research teams
The availability of internships within this research varies in nature and depends on the availability of a suitable topic, laboratory space, and supervision. In general, timely planning is very important (at least 6 months in advance).
For clinicians and technicians at MMIP
Interns will generally work in multiple laboratories to gain a broad orientation in clinical microbiology. Internship topics can arise from the development of new techniques, current issues in microbiology, or research projects that may be clinical or epidemiological in nature.
