Introduction
Costs of interventions can be related to outcomes at the individual and institutional level (see value-based healthcare [INCLUDE LINK TO KEYWORD VBHC]) or at the societal level (see cost-effectiveness analysis [INCLUDE LINK TO KEYWORD CEA]). Cost-effectiveness analyses are performed in collaboration with many LUMC departments, either alongside empirical clinical trials or using mathematical models to combine data from a variety of sources.
