Looking back

On 23 September 2025, researchers and support staff joined the first Research Data Day in LUMC. With more than 20 market stands, 9 parallel sessions about topics like data reuse, infrastructure and accessibility, and around 140 participants, the day was a resounding success.

What is this yearly event about?

The LUMC Research DCC organizes a  Research Data Day every year. The event features a market where you can find research support, tools, services and other groups that are available in the LUMC, followed by (interactive) sessions and a networking event.

During this day you will:

  • learn where to find existing research support in the LUMC
  • become aware of best practices for research data
  • discover ways to easier and better take care of your research data or research data at your department
  • find peers within the LUMC and from the region

Who is the day for?

The event is for everyone who works with or supports the use of research data – regardless of whether they are junior, medior or senior. This event is open to anyone interested in learning about the LUMC’s expertise on research data. The Research Data Day offers something for both researchers and research supporters.
