Services
Peptide synthesis
We synthesize peptides ranging from 5 to 100 amino acids in quantities from 1 to 200 µmol, with smaller or larger scales also possible. These peptides are routinely analyzed by UPLC-TUV/MS to confirm identity and quality. This service is suitable for routine research projects and custom peptide requests.
Purification and quality control
When needed, peptides are purified by reverse-phase HPLC. We use LC-MS and UPLC-based methods to check purity and verify the final product. This helps ensure that the peptide meets the required quality for downstream experiments.
Specialized peptide synthesis
We can synthesize peptides with custom modifications such as side-chain modifications, non-natural amino acids, phosphorylations, N-terminal labels, UV-cleavable groups, isotope-labels, affinity tags and fluorophores. Peptides can also be synthesized with different structures including linear, cyclic, and branched formats.
This service supports projects that need complex or highly customized molecules.
Peptide library production
We produce peptide libraries for screening applications. One of our synthesizers can generate up to 576 peptides in a single run at a 4 µmol scale. This is useful for high-throughput projects, such as alanine scans, that require many related peptides at once. In addition, via combinatorial split-mix peptide synthesis we generate “one-bead-one peptide libraries” with extraordinary diversity for applications such as antibody epitope discovery.
Ubiquitin and Ubiquitin-like proteins
We offer ubiquitin and ubiquitin-like proteins and related activity based probes and assay reagents. We have established expertise in the linear synthesis of ubiquitin and ubiquitin-like proteins, a capability internationally recognized and only available in a limited number of laboratories worldwide. We offer flexible production scales and lengths up to 90 amino acids. Contact us (peptides@lumc.nl) for specific information about this additional service.
Tetramer production
We have ample experience with the production of dye labeled MHC class I tetramers with epitope of choice from the commonly studied human and mouse alleles. Contact us (immuno-peptide_facility@lumc.nl) for specific information about this additional service.
