Leiden University Medical Center

The LUMC is a academic medical center placed central in the Netherlands. Within this institution there is a large (molecular) imaging section. Within this group the applicats focus on image guided surgery technologies, and in particular the combination of fluorescence- and radio-guidance. Hereby we cover all aspects of research going from molecule to man. This means that we have acces to chemistry, preclinical and clinical facilities. The clinical trails are performed in close collaboration with the Netherlands cancer institute (NKI-AVL) in Amsterdam the Netherlands – both applicants also have an appointment in the NKI-AVL. The applicants already have long lasting collaborations with all the partners involved in this project and their radioguidance procedures often function as demonstrator for third-parties.
