 I am head of the statistical geneticis group:

 My research area is statistical genetics with a specific interest in statistical methods for  family data

I am involved in many ongoing studies searching for genetic factors for complex genetic traits, such as longevity, rheumatoid arthritis, osteoarthritis, the interplay between allergy and infection, thrombosis, and social anxiety.

Research topics I am currently working on include

*Estimation of genotypic relative risks and variance components from family data
*Advanced linkage methods
*Models for healthy aging
*Combining heterogeneous datasets 
*Joint Analysis of omics data
