Becoming a PhD student

Finding a PhD Program that fits your scientific interests

If you have an MSc degree, a Certificate of Proficiency in English, a curious mind and ambition, you may find LUMC the spot for obtaining a PhD based on in-depth (scientific) knowledge.

Find a thesis advisor

Of course you are looking for a PhD program that fits your scientific interests. Equally important however is the match with your Thesis Advisor and the people in the research group. Given it will take you at least 4 years to conduct your PhD research and finalize your thesis with (peer-reviewed) articles. If you're interested, have a look at our departmental research programmes and feel free to contact one of our researchers for more information, or talk to one or two current PhD students in the group.
