We aim to further intensify education on this subject, both in the Bachelor of Medicine and Biomedical Sciences, as well as postgraduate education in various healthcare professions. Furthermore, we aim to provide training courses on prevention and lifestyle for all relevant healthcare providers and researchers at LUMC.

Lifestyle education in the Bachelor of Medicine

The LUMC work group ‘Implementation lifestyle education’ has teamed up with Student en Leefstijl Leiden (a nationwide board that aims to increase knowledge on nutrition and lifestyle among medical and biomedical students) to increase education on prevention and lifestyle in the Bachelor of Medicine. Prevention and Lifestyle postgraduate courses

We will develop several e-learning courses that are relevant for caretakers and researchers, such as motivational interviewing – for example on quitting smoking – with the objective to implement this and other techniques in clinical practices.
