You are planning to study medicine at Leiden University
Our program in Medicine is completely taught in Dutch, so in order to apply you need to know that you will have to learn Dutch at a certain level. If you want to apply for the medicine program, you need to send in your application form with all the asked for documents to the Admissions Office of Student and Educational Affairs of Leiden University. They will evaluate your diploma and compare it to the Dutch one. If you are missing any courses they will let you know exactly what you need to do. However, you need to be aware of the fact that medicine is a restricted study in the Netherlands; meaning that there are only a certain number of places available each year and there is a lottery for those places.
The deadline for applications from abroad is April 1 for the September intake. You also need to apply to Studielink, which is the nationwide study database for restricted/lottery study programs. If you speak Dutch already, you can find all necessary information on this page: Geneeskunde in Leiden. There will also be a link to the entry requirements and an explanation if you have other diplomas than the regular Dutch VWO.
