Bioinformatics Center of Expertise
Bioinformatics is a fast-moving field at the interface of statistics, computer science, biology and medicine. It focusses on methods for analyzing, connecting and visualizing the large data sets that arise from from modern high throughput molecular biology and imaging techniques.
The Bioinformatics Center of Expertise gathers together all bioinformaticians of the LUMC. The Bioinformatics Center of Expertise aims to make bioinformatics knowledge and advice available to all researchers in the LUMC. It also facilitates cooperation and exchange of knowledge between bioinformaticians in meetings and seminars, and it organizes courses for researchers and students.
