J.V.M.G. Bovée MD,PhD
Dr Judith V.M.G. Bovée is a pathologist and associate professor at the Department of Pathology, LUMC, with a special focus on bone and soft tissue tumours. Her research primarily aims at the pathology and genetics of cartilage tumours. The development of benign cartilage tumours, enchondroma and osteochondroma, is studied, both sporadically as well as in the context of Ollier disease and the hereditary Multiple Osteochondromas syndrome. In addition, alternative treatment strategies for malignant chondrosarcoma are investigated, since so far these can only be treated surgically due to their resistance to conventional chemo- and radiotherapy.
