Psychiatry
Research
Research in the department of psychiatry is focused on Mood- Anxiety and Somatoform Disorders and the HPA-axis (MASH), Paroxysmal Cerebral Disfunction (PACD) and Ageing. The latter two themes are LUMC-broad research themes.
The department of psychiatry is actively involved in the Leiden Center for Translational Neuroscience (LCTN) and the Leiden Institute for Brain and Cognition (LIBC). Within the LIBC, a collaborative group ‘Psychiatric Neuroimaging across the life-span’ has been formed in collaboration with Curium-LUMC and the department of Neuroradiology.
