The LUMC buildings

Building 1All outpatient clinics and nursing wards are located in the main building (Building 1) . Here you will also find the restaurant, the coffee corner and shops.

Lecture halls 1, 2, 3, 4 and 5 are also located in Building 1. Work group space and other rooms used for instruction are in Building 3.

If you are looking for a nursing ward in Building 1, make sure you have the location number, for example B4-Q. The main building is divided into blocks. Each block has a letter, e.g. H, J, K, D, E, B and so on. The letter indicating the block is followed by the storey (so B4-Q is on the fourth floor of block B). This is followed by the zone (in this case Q) and sometimes by a room number. See also the map.

There is an information counter in the central lobby on the main floor of Building 1, directly opposite the entrance. It is open from 8.00 am to 4.30 pm. Outside of these opening hours, follow the signposting which is found both at the bottom and at the top of the escalator. If you need help outside of these opening hours, go to the Security Office in the central lobby.

Building 2Most of the scientific research laboratories are found in Building 2.

Visitors of Building 2 are requested to check in with the duty porter, who will help you on your way.

Building 3Building 3 is mainly used for education purposes and is also refered to as the "Education building". It has several tutorial and skill training rooms and the Buruma auditorium, a large golden-coloured lecture hall, offering seats for over 400 persons. The Anatomical Museum can also be found in this building, as well as the offices of "Directorate of Education" and department of "Public Health and Primary Care".

Please refer to the service desk on the ground floor for assistence in finding your way around the building
